My Approach
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University (2011) and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UTSA (2017). I have worked in a wide range of different counseling settings including providing counseling to at-risk youth and their families, teaching life skills, and as a caseworker to foster kids aging out of the foster care system. I now work with ages 18 and up and have a passion for working with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, financial strain, sports psychology, and marital struggles. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (2019) and have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy techniques. I also incorporate faith integration in counseling for those that desire it.
Clients have said that I have a unique approach to making them feel at ease by creating a judgment-free and supportive environment. Clients have also mentioned that my balance between humor and depth makes them feel comfortable to pursue growth.
I thoroughly enjoy counseling, and being able to walk alongside clients as they go through some of the most difficult things in their lives, and it is a very meaningful experience for me. My goal is to help clients get to a point where they are confident in themselves and their ability to handle what life throws at them.
I am a Texas native, grew up in San Antonio, and married to my high school sweetheart. I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, and dog, fantasy football, traveling, and am a huge Aggie and Spurs fan.
